After years of adding more fibers to my carpet and rugs, I finally decided that I needed an ORT jar.
(ORT is an acronym for Old Raggedy Threads --I swear there are acronyms for everything!) Like so many crafters, when I would cut off the tail, that last little bit of thread would go on the table next to me, maybe on the arm of my chair, on my knee, etc., you get the idea. The plan was that when I finished cross stitching, I would grab those little rascals and throw them away. What actually happened was I found that the overhead fan enjoyed sending these threads all over the place—thus the appeal and practicality of the ORT jar!
Then one night while cross stitching and enjoying my new ORT jar, I thought, “Wouldn’t it be nice to have my scissors handy? Even better, accessible and contained!” So Blooming Daisies is introducing ORT Jar Scissor Holders (no acronym)! Check out the website to see this new product. They have an 8” elastic band and stretch to fit a variety of jars. My ORT jar (and test model) is one I had from outside decor! The ORT Jar Scissor Holders (maybe I do need an acronym) also fit well on mason jars, plain jars, peanut butter jars, pickle jars... See how you can match your favorite fabric with holiday or everyday scissor fobs! These will make a great addition for your stitching area and your ORT jar!
