How do you look at your WIP: as a room to decorate or an outfit you want to glamourize? Is it a reflection of you?
Needle Minders have so much personality. How do you choose just the right one (or six)? Do you look to add charms to a “bracelet” that surrounds stitching? When select your little gems, do your Needle Minders match your WIP; are they seasonal; or do your Needle Minders reflect your personality?
As CEO, president, and chief “bottle washer” at Blooming Daisies Crafts, my selection of Needle Minders is practically unlimited. This means that I try to be practical by limiting my purchases of Needle Minders. Many of the Needle Minders do reflect my personality or, in some cases, that of my family members. Grime Guards are the practical and purposeful items to protect your WIP--kind of like a light jacket or windbreaker. This does not mean that they cannot be fun or stylish. Reading through the blog, I am a “match it with the project” and like to glamourize my workspace, depending on my mood. Again, the Blooming Daisies Crafts inventory makes it so that I have the Needle Minders and fabric availability to accessorize my WIP. (And all of them are available to you!) I have been known to switch the Needle Minders because I get bored looking at the same ones on the same project--remember, I do NOT cross stitch quickly. Just recently, I switched the Christmas Needle Minders on my Christmas Beach Chair project when I moved it from a Q-Snap to the scroll rod. As a matter of fact, I decided to re-accessorize everything—Needle Minders, Grime Guard, and Dust Cover.
I am not sure if I am lucky to have a large and wonderful inventory or hoarding. No judgment here! I have a customer that likes to match her bags with her WIP also! Why not?! We all love a good handbag!
One of my 2023 Goals is to post on my Blooming Daisies Crafts Facebook and Instagram accounts more often. I do not frequently do things on a whim; I like a schedule and a plan. This sometimes makes deciding what to post a little difficult. That being said, my tentative plans are “WIP Wednesday.” A picture of my progress will be posted so people can see how I am doing or not doing…remember, no judging! Even if people are not looking at my FB postings, Google Search is using all forms of social media and helps interest parties to find Blooming Daisies Crafts!
