Last week, my husband and I spent a few days in Tampa. I found that I had time to kill so I decided to do a little R&D for BloomingDaisiesCrafts and drove to the nearest Joann. I walked in and felt like I had found the mother store for Joann’s in Florida. It may be an exaggeration but it is only a slight one! The store was huge and well stocked. It had fabric shelved 3 or four bolts high. Look at the picture! I thought I heard angels singing or maybe it was my heart. It certainly wasn’t my pocketbook.
I was so excited to see this!!! I found some fun fabrics I haven’t seen anywhere else! And brought a few home with me. Hopefully you can see them fitting into your home as a dust cover or WIP bag!
Fall decorations and décor tend to center around pumpkins, leaves, and turkeys and BloomingDaisiesCrafts has followed that pattern. Monday was the fall solstice or the beginning of autumn (if you haven’t put away your white shoes and/ or white masks, you may want to now!) which was a reminder for me to take a step back and focus more to the fall line. The fabrics I have chosen have that warm feeling and deep rich colors—browns, golds, and russets—as you can see in the new fabric I purchased for Dust Covers/Scroll Rod Protectors.
I think the verbiage sums up the true essence of the fall holidays. I'm torn between the 3 bottom fabrics for the lining for this fall dust cover/scroll rod cover!
Also, new Needle Minders have been added under the Needle Minders (Holiday) drop down. There are really fun ones that are fall/Halloween themed to complement the new autumn fabrics. Snarky ones are being added as well. We have a particular liking for the one saying we were crazy before the cats. :) Needle Minders are cross posted between the folders to make your shopping easier. Needle Minders have powerful magnets and can also be used as refrigerator magnets to hold your loved ones art projects.
As for me, I am back home after my little Tampa excursion and getting BloomingDaisiesCrafts orders out. In anticipation of grandbaby Number 6, I have made the difficult decision to put aside Brittany’s quilt (shhh!) for a brief time, and start the baby quilt. I should be able to finish it up pretty quickly, in between completing and mailing out customer orders. I appreciate patrons giving me some great custom order ideas that become product I am able to in turn offer to my wonderful customer base.
Last, but certainly not least: today is September 25: just three more … months until Christmas. The dots allow you to insert your descriptive word there. Perhaps it is shopping, crafting, or, maybe, panicking. Three more months. I think the best news is that the end of 2020 is three months and one week away. I don’t like to wish my life away but I am anticipating the beginning of 2021.
