Progress!

BloomingDaisiesCrafts’ reopening was a success. It was kicked off with a “Grand Reopening Sale” that has just finished. Hopefully you were able to take advantage of the discount covering the entire inventory at BloomingDaisiesCrafts. A wide range of product sold--Dust Covers, WIP bags, Grime Guards, and Needle Minders, as well as nursing/surgical caps. I would like to sincerely thank everyone that supports this small business!

In new or upcoming product:

Needle Minders

  • #Dog Mom or Cat Mom, depending which side of the fence you sit on;

  • Two new patriotic magnets (a heart and a sunflower) in celebration of those special and favorite summer holidays;

  • A new, beautiful sea horse for an ocean-side, summer feel!

Fabrics (coming soon!)

  • A new camping/trailer print for those of you that enjoy the great outdoors;

  • A new villainess material. The “Girls” are definitely a favorite among BloomingDaisiesCrafts clients.

When BloomingDaisiesCrafts went on hiatus, the plan was that my home office would be fully organized and totally operational June 1. While it is up and running, it is still a work in progress. The 48 inch wide shelves that were mentioned in last week’s blog were ordered, delivered, assembled and are nearly filled. Sounds easy, right?! However, I had to work through the dilemma of “Do I put the unit together or take the time to paint the office?” And then I think, “But first, the laundry room needs to be finished before I tear apart my office.” One room at a time was the promise I made to myself and my husband. I know in the scheme of things, this was such a “minor” problem but as the two of us (plus the girls) live, work and play in this space; it became a “major” decision. So, at this time, the laundry room will be completed and then the renovation in the office will begin.

I am hoping to make time to finish up the Tardis project that may have to be surgically removed from me. I love my son; the Tardis, not so much. It is becoming like a wart that needs to be removed. I am very s-l-o-w-l-y getting there. Truthfully, as this blog is among friends, I will confess that while we traveled I started working on a Christmas beach kit I bought thru Amazon. AND, I also worked on my “Glendon Place PG-249-Thanks Giving” variegated floss project that I bought from Lisa at Golden Needle! I am happily anticipating getting back to these projects but must finish up the “problem child”—much like the laundry room.

Question Time!! Do you use the “Pattern Keeper”? My friend is looking into it and I am waiting to see what she has to say about it. So far, it is not good news; she says it is mostly for Android devices and I am an Apple girl. Ugh – I might have to bite the bullet and get something as I have heard it is much easier to catalog your prior pieces and cut down on errors so that the “frog” does not visit. Let me know what you think, please.

As I will be working with my husband to get the new house the way we want it, sewing on new product for Blooming Daisies Crafts, and stitching my WIP’s, I will be very busy. I love hearing from, you, my customers, about new product ideas. In at least on instance, a client, turned good friend, talked with me about customizing an ORT Jar belt. She requested 3 pockets - one pocket each for scissors, tweezers and the marker for her pattern. Please do not hesitate to contact me with your special orders. BloomingDaisiesCrafts, we help bring your ideas to life!
