Other BloomingDaisiesCrafts News:
BloomingDaisiesCrafts is adding to its Social Media platform! Just this past week, my “grandmillennial” aged niece volunteered to set up and manage the BloomingDaisiesCrafts Tumblr account. She assured me that a generation of young cross stitchers has a growing presence there, which I find very exciting! So if you use Tumblr, or know someone who does, the account will soon be launched! Remember, this is an addition to your favorite platform, no matter which one it might be.
These customer inspired products may soon be introduced to the BloomingDaisiesCrafts merchandise line:
Larger Q-Snap WIP Bags: One of BloomingDaisiesCrafts most frequent (and favorite) customers sent material for the fabrication of 2 larger custom Q-Snap WIP Bags. The first bag, as pictured, is the prototype and she loves it! As a matter of fact, to celebrate her birthday, she has ordered 2 more.
9” Wide Grime Guards: Another favorite customer is stationed in Kuwait and cross stitches baby blankets. She requested wider Grime Guards to hold all the extra fabric from these blankets while she stitches. (Interesting fact about there: The BX is only open very limited hours during the day due to COVID and she hasn’t been able to get bare essentials…so much so that she has been using her roommate’s toothpaste. Needless to say, toothpaste and a couple of toothbrushes were shipped with her order! I forget how easy I have it here and want to say “Thank you for your service!”)
And that brings us to the following recipe. It is our family’s favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. I have mailed them to our sons when they were deployed in Afghanistan and Iraq. The boys said that the cookies were still moist after traveling from a half a world away! Winner, Winner!
Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 c margarine or butter, softened 2 ¼ c flour
¼ c granulated sugar 1 t baking soda
¾ c firmly packed brown sugar 1 pkg. (4 serving) instant vanilla pudding
2 eggs 1 pkg. (11.5 oz.) chocolate chips
1 t vanilla 1 c chopped pecans (optional)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Beat margarine, sugars, eggs, pudding, and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.
Slowly mix in flour and baking soda until dry ingredients are thoroughly incorporated. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans (if using).
Drop by teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 10 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool 2 minutes.
Remove from cookie sheets. Cool on wire racks.
Makes about 6 dozen cookies.
As I said our families love these cookies! If you have recipes you don’t mind sharing, please send it to our email at bloomingdaisiescrafts@gmail.com
